I

I drown’ the eyes

 

And drained the tears 

Killing the foetus

Of one insane scream 

Begging 

To be born

 

Serendipitously enough

Another eye fell on me

Cumbersome 

With an altruistic advice

“Cheer up, darlin’”

 

And so I took his precious liet

All the way to my muted heart

Spending the night

By ripping off 

The wings of one corpse

 

One by one suddenly they flew

Followed by couples stuck in twos

Their icy flutter biting my hands

While listening to the fools 

Of these days

 

Doing their best 

To keep me awake

For 

One can’t dream of death 

When not asleep

 

Can they?
